
Dr. Jeffrey A. Fishbein is a licensed clinical psychologist and a nationally recognized sport psychology consultant. He received his undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin Madison, and his Masters and Doctorate Degrees from the Adler School of Professional Psychology in Chicago.
As a golf psychology consultant, Dr. Fishbein has worked with players on the high-school, collegiate, and professional level. He has had clients on both the Nationwide Tour and the PGA Tour. During his work with golfers, in which he uses a number of theoretical approaches, his players have often reached their personal bests and set course records.
Personally, Dr. Fishbein is a scratch golfer. He has been playing the game for over 30 years. He has competed in and won tournaments since the age of 14. During the summer of 2007, while actively teaching his mental skills program on a daily basis to golfers of all levels, Dr. Fishbein carded his personal best and a course record himself, a 7-under par 30 on the front nine of his home course.
As a nationally regonized sport psychology consultant, and founder of Fishbein Performance Consulting, P.C., Dr. Fishbein has worked with elite high school, collegiate, and professional athletes over the past 12 years, both locally and nationally. Most recently, Dr. Fishbein has been, and continues to be, the sport psychology consultant to the 2003 World Series Champion Florida Marlins, where he has provided services for the past five years.
In addition, Dr. Fishbein is currently the head sport psychology consultant to the Northwestern University Athletic Department in Evanston, Illinois. At Northwestern, Dr. Fishbein works with the university’s top athletes from all sports in order to increase their performance on and off the field.
Dr. Fishbein has been married for 13 years and has two children. He currently resides in a northern suburb of Chicago.
